Class will meet at Ascent Church in Monument, CO on Thursdays from 11:30am-2:15pm.
This show is geared toward elementary and middle school aged students 6-12 years of age.
We will close this class at 30 students to ensure a quality experience for all.

Class will meet at Ascent Church in Monument, CO on Thursdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm (every 2nd and 4th Thursday) 3:30pm-7:30pm (every 1st and 3rd Thursday)
This show is geared toward middle school and high school aged students 12-17 years of age.
We will close this class at 35 students to ensure a quality experience for all.
Each participant must prepare a 2 min or less piece to sing.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes since you will be asked to dance. You do not need dance shoes but all are welcome. You will be taught a simple dance routine to perform in a group in front of the director and choreographer.
You will also be asked to read or repeat a line or two to see how each actor can enunciate and project on stage.

A boy who gets along with everyone and who is very likable. He has a joyful and curious nature, and a twinkle in his eye and a bit feisty.
The panther. Cast member should be able to easily portray the physical attributes of a feline. Bagheera acts like an older brother/sister to Mowgli.
The bear provides much of the comedic relief in the story. A big character that's a bit wild and crazy and a good sense of comedic timing and rhythm.
The snake that supplies threat and danger to Mowgli's journey out of the jungle. Multiple cast members will be cast as the body of the snake an the "head" of the snake is the main singer/mover.
The Tiger, is the King of the Jungle. With a threatening presence and attitude, he is the villain of the story.
The Elephant is in charge of the elephant brigade but also a bit forgetful. Needs to have a commanding presence.
King of the Monkeys with strong comedic timing and jazzy voice.
Wonderfully fun ensemble parts that connect the whole jungle.
Hollywood's leading man in silent film. Charming and charismatic, Don has no shortage of female admirers. Don is smart and levelheaded; he likes being a famous Hollywood actor, but doesn't let the hype go to his head. Must be a strong singer and dancer.
A glamorous star of Hollywood's silent films. She believes everything amazing she reads about herself in the gossip magazines, including that she and Don Lockwood are madly in love. Cast member should be able to accomplish the right amount of exasperating ditz to bring this character to life. Lina has a trademark nasal and grating voice. Cast member must be able to keep this voice consistent throughout the entire show.
Often serves as the comic relief in the show. Quick-witted and sure-footed, Cosmo is fast with a one-liner to lighten the mood. Cosmo is Don's right-hand man, and cast member should connect and have good chemistry with Don Lockwood. Must be a strong singer and dancer.
Wants to become an actress. she takes her career as an artist seriously and is embarrassed that she has to take jobs like singing and popping out of a cake just to get by. Cast member must be very strong vocally and portray an honest likability as well as a tough exterior. Cast member must have good chemistry with Don Lockwood.
Always first on the scene for any major film opening, and she has the Hollywood scoop. This is a non-singing role and cast member must have a great speaking voice and command of the stage. Will be double cast in the big ensemble numbers.
Always by Lina's side, or trailing after her. As Lina's manger, Roz works hard to make sure nothing upsets her. This is a non-singing character, but can be double cast in big singing/dancing numbers.
The studio's director for Lamont and Lockwood films. He's loud and blustery, and he's easily frustrated with his assistants and Lina. This is non-singing role and cast member must have a big boisterous speaking voice and over the top character. Will also be double cast in big ensemble numbers.
Lina's right-hand gal, who informs her that Kathy's voice is being dubbed over hers. Zelda is dramatic and over-the-top like Lina.
The vocal coaches hired to turn Lina's voice into cultured perfection and to work with all the other actors in the show. Tough, proper and slightly overworked, strong speaking roles for cast members.
