Spring 2025 "My Son Pinocchio" Jr.
Auditions and call backs will be held in February 2025.
Class will meet at Ascent Church in Monument, CO on Thursdays from 12:30pm-3:30pm.
Ages 6-17 years of age can participate.
Audition Process
Each participant must prepare a 2 min or less piece to sing.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes since you will be asked to dance. You do not need dance shoes but all are welcome with the exception of tap shoes. You will be taught a simple dance routine to perform in a group in front of the director and choreographer.
You will also be asked to read or repeat a line or two to see how each actor can enunciate and project on stage.

"My Son Pinocchio" Jr Character Breakdown
Geppetto
A lonely toymaker who longs to be a father. Will cast a mature strong singer and performer who is comfortable playing a parents to Pinocchio and isn't afraid to show emotion.
Pinocchio
A wooden puppet who doesn't know where he belongs. Will cast a strong singer and performer with a lively personality of a little boy while also capturing tender moments. Can be played by either gender
Blue Fairy
A fairy who is convinced of her own perfection and does not like having it called into question. Will cast a strong singer and performer with good comedic instincts.
Fairies
Rosa, Viola & Arancia are sweet and kind fairies in training. They will be cast as strong group singers and dancers. Looking for actors with lots of expression and sweet dispositions.
Sue
a fairy in training who marches to the beat of her own drum. She isn't your typical fairy, as sweetness isn't in her nature. She is more broody and brash but vocally is a strong singer and dancer.
Stromboli
Stomboli is a bumbling, loud, incompetent puppeteer who as at least a few screws loose. Will cast a versatile singer and performer who can create silly voices to take this character and the marionettes over-the-top.
Professore Buongrazzo
A passionate, made scientist obsessed with building perfect children. Has a singing solo but a big wild character is important for this role.
Junior
Junior is Professore Buonragazzo's mirrorimage assistant, created used the child-making machine. This performer with work closely with Professore and mimic his every move.
Ringleader
Runs Pleasure Island. Will cast a strong singer and dancer that is has a true sense of showmanship and can be mischievous.
Signora Giovanni
Pinocchio's teacher. Featured performer who does not have any singing solos.
Bernardo & Maria
Married residents of Idyllia who are looking to purchase a "perfect" daughter from Professore Buonragazzo.
Talia
The "perfect child" created for Maria and Bernardo by Professore Buonragazzo's machine. Talia sings and dances a short solo to impress her parents.
Town Children, Town Parents, Marionettes, Animals, Roustabouts and Delinquents
The many fun ensemble parts which give performers opportunities for lines and solos.
